Join Us In Spirit And In Person On Our New Walking Tours
If the past 18 months has taught us anything, it is the health and the social benefits of being outdoors. Walking, eating al fresco and enjoying new places as well as the enjoyment of being back in London.
In addition to our online and in-person tasting experiences, we have devised three tours to put gin and cocktails on the map and to make the most of the great London outdoors and all its quirky and amazing spaces.
OUR GIN TOURS
The first walk in our repertoire is The Juniper Jaunt, a whirlwind tour through the early years of gin, the gin craze of the 18th century and Hogarth’s London.
We will delve into new and different parts of the capital, sneaking down snickets and ambling along the alleys of Dr Johnson’s gin-soaked London. We start at a gin distillery for a G&T and end in the comfort of a fabulous hidden bar with a gin or cocktail in hand as we finish off the amazing story of gin.
The tour includes two or three stops for gin at some of the best bars/gin palaces including a gin distillery.
The story of gin continues with London Dry - The Drink of Royalty, Spies and the World. This tour centres on the magnificent environs of St James and Mayfair, the stomping grounds of the ruling classes.
As we walk and take in the grandeur, we will be uncovering London Dry gin’s impact on the aristocracy, royalty and of government and its agencies. We will also track its influence across the world including its impact on America (to delicious effect) as we drink London Dry at its best.
The tour includes two or three stops for gin at some of the best bars in London including one famed for its associations with spies.
A COCKTAIL TOUR MORE YOUR THING?
If you think the Americans invented the cocktail, think again. The City of Cocktails tour explores London’s cocktail creations and its famous master mixologists.
We are talking Gimlets, Corpse Revivers, Punches and Sours, as well as a few new favourites including the Espresso and Pornstar Martinis. From Bright Young Things to Supermodels, we will uncover the true history of the London cocktail.
The tour includes two or three stops for cocktails.
